Company Profile

Tina Travel was established in 1967 when tourism was relatively unknown to the country.

Its main activity in the early years was conducting daily tours. After gaining experience and contacts, the late Mr Kamil founder of Tina Travel,ventured overseas to promote Malaysia to outbound tour operators in tourist - generating markets. As a result, Tina Travel became an active inbound operator handling various markets including Japanese, Indian, neighbouring ASEAN countries, European, American, Australian and New Zealand markets. As the inbound business developed there was a need for tourist coaches and limousines. To ensure an efficient tour management, Tina Travel started to build up its own private fleet of vehicles.

By early 1990's Tina Travel's fleet comprise 25 sightseeing coaches, vans, limousines and baggage vans, enabling it to provide transportation for major conventions and events.

As testimony of its reliable service, Tina Travel has been selected by several International airlines namely Malaysia Airlines & Singapore Airlines to handle their Stopover Holiday programmes in Malaysia.

In tandem with the growth of its inbound department Tina Travel conducts outbound tours and also group ticketing as well as limousine services & wedding management.

Tina Travel business in Malaysia is very competitive but Tina Travel is an advocate for fair pricing without sacrificing quality of service. And this has won the agency several travel awards for excellence through the years including the coveted Malaysian Tourism Gold Award in 1988 for the Best Local Tour Operator category. We are affiliated under the MATTA , MITA, TAAI and PATA travel association.

As an pioneer in the Malaysian travel trade , the late Mr Kamil, the Executive Chairman of Tina Travel has always played an active role in the local as well as international travel scene. He has served as the President of the Malaysian Association of Tours and Travel Agents (MATTA), President of the Federation of ASEAN Travel Association (ASEANTA). Vice-President of UFTAA Asia Pacific Alliance (UPA) and Regional Director (Alternate) of UFTAA for the ASEAN region.

Today the tradition continues on after 41 years with the founders vision being passed on to the eldest son, Mr Adam Kamal who is now the Managing Director. He is currently the Hon. Sec. Gen. of the Malaysian Inbound Travel Association (MITA). Ms Eva is the Executive Director and Mr Shukri a Director of this well established entity.

Today, with a total work experience of 100 years between our young and competent staff, Tina Travel is slowly regaining it's place as one of the leading players in the Malaysian Inbound market scene.
